On September 3, 2025, Magistrate Judge Nathanael M. Cousins of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted plaintiff Jose Maria DeCastro’s ex parte application for alternative service under Fed. R. Civ. P. 4(f)(3). The Court authorized service of process on defendant John Brendan O’Dea via specified email addresses and also required service on Joe Famalette of Creator Growth Group, identified in Google’s records as an operator of the Irish Demon channel. Service is deemed complete upon transmission of the summons and complaint to those addresses.
