Cordova v. Huneault – Ex Parte Application for Alternative Service (N.D. Cal. 25-cv-04685-VKD)

On September 2, 2025, plaintiff Christopher J. Cordova applied ex parte for an order authorizing service of process by email on defendants Jonathan Hudon-Huneault and Nneka Ohiri, operators of the YouTube channel Frauditor Troll.

The application argues that defendants submitted nine DMCA counter-notices under penalty of perjury in which they expressly agreed to accept service of process at their listed email, frauditortroll@gmail.com. Plaintiff contends the physical address provided (99 Wall Street, New York) was false, that Google’s records identify Ohiri as the billing contact and monetizer of the channel, and that defendants reside together in Canada.

Given defendants’ admitted awareness of the lawsuit, deletion of over 1,700 videos from the Frauditor Troll channel after notice, and their public use of multiple associated emails (including JoshPrimeYT@gmail.com and joshprimestreams@gmail.com), the application seeks leave to serve via those addresses as reasonably calculated to provide notice.
